The problem is that if CCP get anything wrong and miners are put off and shift activity or leave Eve would suffer massively. The only option I see is similar to the current POS method, rather than a major change of existing mechanics start adding ...

I believe the bonus to positive sec status is that you can do things that reduce your sec status without going negative so quickly... I could be wrong. It would be cool if you gained more rights to shoot players with negative sec statuses though,...

With the Odyssey expansion for exploration and the Rubicon mobile depot this would actually be pretty cool and seem to fit with direction CCP want. The only rule is they don't remove the stations they mark them as destructible and we nuke them :D

I was under the impression that the Pirate ships would omfg the dps it burns my eyes! While the Marauders would be more balanced around tank as well as spank with sprinkling of random tractor? Also thanks to everyone for checking the depot question.
